The stamp machine was stolen from the club house on weekend of 18-19th June. We believe that the the external door was left open on Saturday night allowing the culprits to enter. We would urge members to be very careful not to leave the door open as there have also been occasions in the past when items have gone missing from the changing rooms when members have been on court.
If the machine is not recovered shortly, then we will organise for the lights to be turned off during peak hours. Members will be able to book courts by writing clearly on the booking sheets (or using a single stamp if they have a stock) and putting a £1 coin in the meter as they go on court. We will keep a tally of usage and charge members £1 for each court booked during this period.
In the fullness of time, we shall be moving to an electronic form of booking which will allow members to book courts over the web and so remove the need for booking stamps and coin-operated light meters.
