Brad Murray is a Level 2 England Squash coach, who is currently running Junior programmes at several different clubs. Previously Head Coach at Sandown Sports in Surrey, he is also coaching England national standard players.
Brad is from the Isle of Wight, where he first started playing at the age of 5, progressing through to County and National level in u13 and u15 age groups.
As would be expected, Brad is DBS checked. He has also undergone Safeguarding and First Aid training.
We offer a free Introductory session, for those wanting a taster. Come ready for fun & a proper workout, wearing comfortable sports attire and non-marking trainers.
5-8 year-olds - for children of this age, sessions will focus on developing each child’s hand-eye co-ordination, as well as ‘movement games’. These, unwittingly, will work on the right positioning, turns & movement that are so important in squash. This will all be done in a non-competitive environment, with the emphasis on having lots of fun!
9-12 year-olds - children in this age group learn how to play the game. Again there are drills, focusing on specific core skills, before moving onto quick-rotation ‘three-quarter court’ points, and then full games.
Parents & Carers are more than welcome to stay and watch the sessions, from the court gallery. We also have an active Adult section with Club nights, competitive leagues, group and 1-to-1 training.
Once we have the numbers, we’ll start up a Junior Ladder, followed by Junior Leagues. And from there, we’ll register a team to play in the Bucks league. We’re at the start of our journey – do come and join us.
