James Jirgens won the Plate competition in the 2016 Rob Milliner Summer Handicap Tournament by beating Rakesh Gulati in the final on Sunday 2 October. Starting level on 75 all, James got off to a good start by taking the first few points before Rakesh recovered and made the most of the central passage of play and looked to have a commanding lead as the scores entered the 90s. James managed to pull his game back together, however and finished strongly to take the match 100 - 97.
Earlier in the evening, Rakesh had won the first Summer Racketball Tournament by beating Richard Crosbie 3 - 1 in the final.
